Dr. Richard Romaniuk

Neuroscience, trauma

I am a clinical social worker and I work primarily in treating addictions and the effects of stress and trauma.

I am a therapist, chemical dependency counselor, and educator. I am currently a lecturer at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, Case Western Reserve University. I have extensive experience working as a therapist for the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic, among other institutions. My decades of experience in my previous career in neuroscience prepared me to specialize in understanding the role of trauma in our lives. My clients appreciate my ability to explain the biological nature of their mental health problems and its connection to the journey of recovery to healthy living.
